It’s not younger women I desire…

…it’s the women from my youth.

Ann Althouse nails the entire problem right there

Now, the Democrats purport to “believe in an America that pays it forward,” which sounds odd to me, because it seems that the Democrats have plunged us into debt that they expect the next generations to deal with. It’s more billing it forward.

via Althouse: “This election is about values. It’s about what kind of people we are and what kind of country we want to build.”.

This is why I wish LawDog would write more often

If it’s isn’t bad enough that media and social pundits keep extolling the virtues of California, but people fleeing California to my Fair State keep trying to make Texas into a carbon-copy of the misery they just left.

Why? Texas: None of the Top 20 Most Miserable Cities. California: majority shareholder in the Top 20 Most Miserable Cities. SO WHY THE HELL DO YOU WANT TO CHANGE TEXAS?!

Now I realize that California liberals fleeing their State couldn’t get a clue if they smeared themselves with clue musk and did the clue mating dance in a field full of receptive clues at the height of the clue mating season, but here’s to tilting at windmills:

California is doing something wrong. Texas is doing something right. Quit trying to turn Texas into a carbon-copy of California. Leave us the hell alone.

Grr.

Two thoughts on the Aurora Shootings

  1. To the people who think an armed civilian would have put a quick end to the massacre: If I had been caught in that theater I would have wanted to be armed, but I’ve got to say it would have been the worst self-defense situation imaginable. Outgunned by a madman in the dark and surrounded by panicking innocents?Firing a handgun at an assailant swaddled in bullet proof/resistant clothing? Blinded by the flash of your own fire? I would have wanted my gun with me, but I’m not sure it would have made much of a difference.
  2. To the people who would use this tragedy to try to implement more “reasonable” gun control laws: The most severe laws we have are reserved for murder and attempted murder. This mad man violated those laws approximate 60 times in just a few minutes. What possible gun-control law can you imagine implementing that he wouldn’t have violated just as blithely? By definition, gun control laws only serve to disarm the law abiding. When you advocate gun control, you are doing your best to make good people helpless in the face of evil. That’s not “reasonable” or compassionate. It’s illogical and cruel.

The question isn’t:

CAN women have it all?.

The question is, can anyone?

And the answer is of course, no.

Campaigning versus governing

Barack Obama is a phenomenal campaigner who isn’t much of a President.

I suspect Mitt Romney isn’t much of a campaigner who might just end up making a phenomenal President.

I drive through the inner city pretty much every day

And recently, cialis canada unhealthy I’ve noticed an uptick in the amount of litter I see on Milwaukee city streets. The majority of the trash seems to be empty drink containers: cups, cialis sale bottles, cans.

In fact, a few days ago, I watched a woman empty a soda cup out her car window and then toss the cup out.

The only other place I’ve seen so much trash on the street was driving through a reservation in Arizona. The roads there were lined on both sides with empty bottles for miles.

So my question is: does poverty lead to a behavior like this or does behavior like this lead to poverty?

Pardon my French, but I cannot say FUCK YOU loudly enough to this video

Sure, when you copy a CD from a friend you’re not stealing from your friend. He still has his CD.

But that’s not the point you simple-minded self-satisfied selfish dickheads.

The point is you stole from the people who created the content in the first place by NOT COMPENSATING THEM for their intellectual property. See, your friend only bought the right enjoy the CD for themselves. They don’t own the content–that content is still the property of the person who owns the copyright.

Your buddy isn’t part of the equation. It doesn’t matter if you hurt him or not. You indisputably hurt the people who deserve to be compensated for their creation.

It is THEFT, you despicable assholes. Just as much as if you broke into the artist’s home and took money from his wallet. You didn’t pay him and he didn’t give you permission to fucking take his work.

Just because stealing is easy doesn’t make it right. In fact, it’s not even in your own longterm self-interest you soul-sucking simpletons. Because if everyone “copies” than the original creators will have no incentive to produce and there will be fewer movies, songs, books, and games for us all to enjoy.

So, once again, I’d like to offer a heartfelt FUCK YOU to you, your mother, your father, your friends, your teachers and anyone else who didn’t take the time to explain to you the difference between right and wrong.
