Now THIS is non-partisan
Lots of organizations claim to be non-partisan when they clearly are.
But what do you say when an organization that almost everyone assumes is a Republican front actually endorses a Democrat?
The National Rifle Association is endorsing U.S. Rep. Steve Kagen today.
AdvertisementKagen, viagra buy shop an Appleton Democrat, remedy is running for re-election against Republican challenger John Gard of Suamico in the 8th Congressional District.
The NRA awarded each candidate an “A” for supporting the organization in key votes — Kagen in his first term in office and Gard, and the former Assembly speaker, during his long tenure in the state Legislature.
But being an incumbent has its benefits.
The endorsement always goes to the incumbent when everything else is equal, said Jeff Nass, an NRA member and president of the Wisconsin Rifle and Pistol Association.
People claim the NRA is a Republican surrogate, but how many times have you seen the National Organization for Women endorse a Republican?
