Liberals and Conservatives in five words or less

A friend asked me to sum up the philosophies of the two major strains of politics in this country in a single sentence. And after a brief conversation we settled on the following:

Liberals: “I know better than you.”

Conservatives: “Leave me the hell alone.”

I am well aware when it comes to fundamentally religious conservatives and some social issues you could reverse those two statements, sildenafil online but I’m sticking to my assessment in terms of overall philosophies in general.

When did members of the Cabinet begin making partisan election speeches?

ABC News’ Devin Dwyer reports:  Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano told a group of Latino leaders from across the U.S. today that responsibility for inaction on a comprehensive immigration reform bill falls squarely on Republicans and that the Latino community must turn out in November to vote their displeasure.

DNC chairman Tim Kaine says:

The people in absolute control of the White House, the Senate, and the House are the underdogs?

As someone who leans libertarian…

…I find this suggestion completely repugnant:

Why does the Dane County annual traffic fatality rate far exceed Milwaukee County’s?

I suggest it’s because everyone in Dane County keeps trying to drive to the left.
