McCain vs. ?

Mitt Romney dropped out, generic cialis healing so McCain is basically going to be the Republican’s flag carrier.

Now the question is, will his opponent be Hillary or Obama. And if it’s Hillary, is there really that much of a difference between her and McCain?

WHAT?!!!!!

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Columnist Eugene Kane apparently thinks that Republicans questioning whether or not John McCain is conservative enough for them is the same as people questioning whether or not Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is black enough:

“It’s pretty ironic that Rush Limbaugh is mounting an attack against likely Republican presidential nominee John McCain. because he’s not ‘conservative enough’.

The fact Rush and other local right-wing squawkers in Milwaukee don’t like McCain is enough for me to hope he gets the Republican nomination. It will show they are not as in touch with their voting base as they claim, best viagra troche and it will also show the hypocrisy of conservatives who criticize other groups for refusing to let outside influences pick their leaders for them. When the Journal Sentinel ran an 2005 editorial that said Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas deserved an ‘asterisk’ beside his name for going against civil rights issues with importance to African-Americans, generic cialis lots of folks freaked out.

(I agreed with that description of Thomas, by the way.)

In my mind, that’s exactly what many conservatives are now saying about McCain. Basically, they are saying he’s not ‘conservative’ enough for them the same way Thomas wasn’t considered ‘black enough’ by many African-Americans.

If McCain wins the Republican nomination for president, he will be their ‘asterisk’ candiate.”

No. The two are NOT equivalent. Political beliefs are one thing, skin color is another.

Republicans saying that McCain isn’t as conservative as they would like is not the same as people saying that Clarence Thomas is less of a black man because he doesn’t toe the liberal line.

McCain not being conservative enough is equal to Thomas not being liberal enough.

For McCain to be treated by the Righ the way Thomas has been treated by the Left, you’d have to say McCain isn’t white enough.

(And no one who has ever seen the man would claim that.)

On a related note:

According to the story about Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle campaigning for Barack Obama, generic viagra cialis Wisconsin Lt. Gov. Barbara Lawton supports Hillary Clinton and is a co-chair of her midwest campaign.

That must make for some awkward moments around the office, mind huh?

Why are we paying Wisconsin Governor Jim Doyle…

…to traipse around Kansas campaigning for Barack Obama?

Isn’t campaigning on state time the very thing that got Wisconsin politicians like Scott Jensen in trouble?

After all, viagra buy viagra Peg lautenschlager (who was Wisconsin Attorney General at the time) said she hoped the last of the landmark convictions teaches elected officials at all levels of government to “keep official government duties separate from political campaigning.”

I guess Governor Jim Doyle didn’t get the memo.

Could bullshit end up being kryptonite on Super Tuesday?

Hillary Clinton never met a focus group she didn’t agree with.

Mitt Romney has taken more positions than a Kama Sutra instructor.

You might not agree with Barack Obama‘s or John McCain‘s politics, generic cialis drugstore but both seem to be straight shooters who stand up for what they believe in.

If Obama and McCain win tomorrow, viagra it will be the triumph of authenticity over triangulation and that would make this Tuesday the most super Tuesday in a very long time.

This study on how Libertarians vote…

….is interesting.

But what’s more interesting is why they vote.

Isn’t a Libertarian voting a little like an atheist going to church?
