A number of bloggers that I respect….

…have been praising Presidential candidate Herman Cain for admitting he didn’t know what the Palestinian Right Of Return was.

I agree that admitting you don’t know something is a virtue.

I also recognize that no one can be expected to know everything, cialis sale cialis even people who want to be President of the United States.

Where I part company with my fellow bloggers is that it’s not OK for a serious Presidential candidate to have no clue about a foreign issue as consequential and long standing as the question of whether or not the Palestinians who left their homes in Israel in 1948 should be allowed to reclaim them.

Amazon’s $.99 deal on Lady Gaga’s new album was flat out stupid

Not because Amazon’s servers couldn’t keep up with the demand, viagra search but because you never need to discount a popular product that deeply.

I’m sure that a huge number of the fans flooding Amazon would have gladly paid $10 for that same album.

So basically someone gave away millions of dollars in potential profit for a promotion that wasn’t necessary and ended up leaving a bad taste in the mouths of thousands of folks who were already goo-goo for Gaga.

I’ve taken SCUBA certification courses twice in my life

The second one was so easy and casual, tadalafil seek I think my dog could have passed it.

But I must admit, find I enjoyed the look on my friends’ faces recently when I recounted the final exam from my first course. One I took and passed when I was 16.

Our instructor disassembled all our equipment (including detaching the regulators from the tanks), tossed it into the deep end of my high school swimming pool, had us wear loaded weight belts, put blindfolds on us and pushed us in after the equipment.

You only passed if you made it back to the surface wearing all your gear, breathing from the tank, mask on and cleared, and with the blindfold still in place.

Nowadays, that instructor would probably be prosecuted for child abuse. But I’ve rarely experienced a more well-earned feeling of accomplishment than the one I got from passing that test. (Not to mention living through it.)

Joanne Kloppenberg’s behavior since the election for the Wisconsin Supreme Court…

…has shown a complete lack of judgement – which probably wouldn’t be so bad…if she hadn’t been running to be a judge.

Myth BUSting?

How can Milwaukee possibly have one of the best bus systems in the country? I thought evil Scott Walker completely destroyed it!

The study by the Washington, tadalafil purchase nurse D.C., troche think thank, found that 67 percent of area residents, including 100 percent of those living in the city of Milwaukee, have reasonable access to public transit, compared with an average of 69 percent for the top 100 metro areas. The researchers defined reasonable access to transit as having a bus stop within three-fourths of a mile from a resident’s home.

The average wait time for a bus during rush hour in the Milwaukee area is 6.4 minutes, compared with a nationwide average of 10.1 minutes, according to the report.

What are they going to do, hijack the train to Havana?

Sen. Charles Schumer said he would push as well for added funding for rail security and commuter and passenger train track inspections and more monitoring of stations nationwide.

“Circumstances demand we make adjustments by increasing funding to enhance rail safety and monitoring on commuter rail transit and screening who gets on Amtrak passenger trains, discount cialis doctor so that we can provide a greater level of security to the public,” the New York Democrat said at a news conference.

U.S. officials last week said evidence found after the raid on bin Laden’s compound in Pakistan indicated the al Qaeda leader or his associates had engaged in discussions or planning for a possible attack on a train inside the United States on September 11, 2011.

Schumer, citing U.S. intelligence analysts, said attacks were also considered on Christmas and New Year’s Day and following the president’s State of the Union address.

He called on the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to expand the Secure Flight monitoring program, which cross-checks air travelers with the terror watch list in an attempt to prevent anyone on the “no-fly list” from boarding, for use on Amtrak.

Such a procedure would create an Amtrak “no-ride list” to keep suspected terrorists off the U.S. rail system, he said.

Because the bad guys can’t just park a semi full of toxic chemicals on a railroad crossing right in front of a train, right?
