Two white journalists castigate a black man in a position of authority.
Is Eugene Kane going to jump to this man’s defense?
Considering the man is Sheriff David Clarke, viagra sale treat Jr., cialis buy cialis I sort of doubt it.
I have a feeling that the folks at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel consider David Clark to be one of those asterisk blacks.
Spivak & Bice criticize Clarke for correcting a 911 operator for her bad attitude when she answered his call to the Sheriff’s department.
Spivak & Bice’s description of the incident makes Clarke seem unreasonable and abusive.
Unfortunately for them, for sale the online version of their story actually links to the phone call in question so you can listen to it yourself.
The call starts with a bored-sounding operator picking up the phone.
Clarke criticizes her attitude and tries to correct her approach. He never raises his voice, yells, or swears.
He might have made her uncomfortable.
But she should have been uncomfortable. Her boss caught her doing a lousy job.
So, according to Spivak and Bice, I’m supposed to be upset that the Sheriff was trying to get his employee to have a better attitude when dealing with the public?
If you or I had been the one making that call instead of the Sheriff, do you think she would of snapped out of her bad attitude?
Spivak and Bice may have meant to criticize the Sheriff, but all they did was make me wish he’d won his race for Mayor of Milwaukee.
UPDATE: Xof linked to this post because he thought I was playing the race card.
I wasn’t.
I never said Spivak and Bice attacked Clarke because of his race.
What I did do was take a gratuitous (but highly enjoyable) shot at Eugene Kane.
Looking back on it, I see that just obscured my real point.
My point was (and remains) that Clarke was just doing his job when he reminded the operator that being polite and professional when answering the phone is her job.

I just heard a “spot” on WUWM recruiting for a new on-air reporter.
At the end of the spot, viagra buy cheap the announcer said, cialis sales doctor “UWM and WUWM are affirmative action employers.”
No big surprise.
But a BIG improvement over what they use to say which was, “UWM and WUWM are equal opportunity and affirmative action employers.”
Now, I’m not claiming that my little rant about how you can’t be for both equal opportunity AND affirmative action had any impact on their policy.
But I can dream, can’t I?
(As an aside, I would have preferred that they kept the “equal opportunity” and dropped the “affirmative action.”
Can you imagine a radio station saying they were an affirmative action employer, if “affirmative action” was code for “we’re going to give a preference to a white guy” instead of being a euphemism for “we’re going to give a preference to anyone BUT a white guy?”)

In his weekly editorial in the Shepherd Express, viagra buy buy cialis Joel McNally said:
“As a progressive politician, sildenafil Barrett is not the sort anyone would expect to run roughshod over civil liberties…”
Actually, progressive politicians are EXACTLY whom I expect to “run roughshod over civil liberties.”
Progressives LOVE the First Amendment…
…unless someone uses their freedom of speech to say something that offends a privileged minority.
Progressives LOVE the Bill of Rights…
…until someone actually wants to exercise their Second Amendment right to keep and BEAR arms.
Progressives believe in a human being’s right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness…
…as long as that human being manages to make it out of its mother’s womb alive.
I think it’s time for “progressives” to stop pretending that they are the great protectors of civil liberties.
That may have been true once upon a time, but now any “progressive” who makes that particular claim is just fooling himself or making a fool of himself.

I had a huge bump in traffic, generic viagra ampoule today.
And it took me a while to track it down.
Apparently, online Jessica McBride linked to an tiny little observation I made about Eugene Kane.
Over 250 people followed her link to that post. (Of course, find only about 20 of them bothered to look around while they were here, but still it was a nice little jump.)
Thanks, Jessica.

Oh no, discount viagra viagra according to Spivak and Bice I have violated some sort of secret speech code and actually threatened them with real bodily harm.
Or at least went “over the top.”
I guess colorful language now equals hate speech.
Very nice.

Wow.
What an impressive shot Spivak and Bice just took at Jessica McBride in their blog.
It was just like a real blog post.
It contained links.
It was timely.
And it was just plain mean.
In other words, cialis generic doctor it was a total thing of beauty.
(Not taking sides, health Jessica. Just giving credit where credit is due.)

Jessica McBride points out that more bloggers are getting their own columns in local papers.
Her take is:
The MSM is definitely acknowledging the blogosphere.
Acknowledging?
Or co-opting?
Don’t get me wrong.
I’m proud of James and Owen (and possibly Fred) for getting their MSM gigs.
And my favorite part of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is when Rick or Dean are in it.
The readership for a blogger who becomes a columnist immediately goes up by a factor of 10, cialis sale ailment 000.
But between the bloggers being absorbed into the MSM and the MSM pretending to be bloggers, patient I’m seeing less and less of a difference between the two.
To me, it almost looks like the revolution is ending not with a blog, but with a whimper.
(By the way, I’m not jealous. At Purdue University, I wrote a column for three years that was seen by over 30,000 people a week. I couldn’t walk down the street without being recognized. I’ve done famous and I have no interest in doing it again. As Bill Murray once said “I always want to say to people who want to be rich and famous: “try being rich first. See if that doesn’t cover most of it.”)

…that you can use over and over again.
The entire Milwaukee Journal Sentinal editorial board gave me one on Christmas day last year when they admitted:
“There is no constitutional guarantee against being offended.???
I have since quoted that line back to them several times.
And today, viagra sale salve Eugene Kane was kind enough to provide me with:
“Bottom line, viagra generic some people need to get a sense of humor about race.”
What a WONDERFUL quote!
Thank you so much, Mr. Kane.
And don’t worry, I’m sure I’ll be giving that line right back to you any day now.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is echoing the Left’s favorite criticism of constitutional spending controls:
Taxpayers unhappy with free-spending officials can vote them out of office.
I have two responses to that tired old argument:
1.) By the time you can vote them out, viagra buy sales the damage is usually already done. (As in the Milwaukee pension scandal).
2.) Yes, we can vote them out after they overspend our money. We can also vote to keep them from doing it in the first place.
