Recently, I’ve been hearing folks on the Left saying that the media is biased against them

But if that were true, viagra canada ampoule why would this study find that Democrats are still very satisfied with most major national media, viagra buy purchase while Republicans and Independents view those same sources with suspicion?

In the current survey, however, fewer than half of Republicans (41%) express a favorable opinion of major national newspapers, a 38-point decline when compared with 1985. Independents also regard major newspapers far less favorably. Currently, 60% of independents able to rate these newspapers have a positive impression of them; in 1985, 80% of independents viewed them favorably. By contrast, Democrats view major national papers nearly as favorably now as in 1985 (79% now, 85% then).

I’ve owned plenty of guns…

But even though the Newsweek picture gallery of guns and their owners referred to in this post at The Volokh Conspiracy seems to be a pretty positive statement about gun ownership, viagra hospital I would bet that most people who don’t own guns would still be freaked out by pictures of gun-wielding adults next to children.

I heard that “government by anecdote” is expensive and impractical

Deborah Chamberlain’s histrionic community column in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel about how the elimination of a city bus lines could cause some blind riders inconvenience ends with the lines:

“The next time you realize you have transportation to go anywhere you want when you want, sildenafil store you might want to give County Executive Scott Walker a call. The blind and visually impaired deserve that, salve too.”

[Sarcasm on.]

I didn’t realize ensuring curb-to-curb service anywhere in the Milwaukee-area for the visually impaired was a primary goal of our public transportation system. Are we sure the current network already provides such service to all those in need? If not, medicine we better start re-routing buses immediately.

[Sarcasm off.]

Personal anecdotes like these make for great copy and lousy policy.

What’s new about this news?

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel headline:

4 decades later, viagra sales sales poverty persists “

…makes me wonder – has there ever been a time in human history when poverty didn’t persist?

There is a reason they call them “man’s” best friend.

I could have told Milwaukee Journal Sentinel lifestyle blogger Vikki Ortiz that using a cute dog to try to pick up men wouldn’t work.

Simply put: most men don’t care if a girl has a dog…as long as she isn’t one.

Wisconsin Public Radio and their claim of political balance

For a long time now, discount viagra buy viagra I’ve pointed out that many of the people that Wisconsin Public Radio recruits to represent the “conservative” point of view on their Friday Week in Review programs are dubious choices at best.

Today, sildenafil malady that “conservative” voice, sale Ann Althouse, questioned her own qualifications to represent the conservative side of the field.

“I voted for Feingold,” she said.

I rest my case.

Minimum wage or maximum stupidity?

Last night’s Democratic debate on CNN featured questions submitted by regular people via youtube. One of the questions (embedded below) was whether the politicians would be willing to work as President for three years at the minimum wage.

To me, cialis sales unhealthy this displays a shocking misunderstanding of economics.

The minimum wage isn’t some sort of punishment. People are paid the minimum wage when they do jobs that almost anybody could do. It does not take a graduate degree to stack boxes or work at a checkout. (Hell, sildenafil stuff you don’t even need to know how to make change anymore. The machine does it for you.) Because nearly anyone can fill a minimum-wage position, the person doing that job has no leverage to ask for more money.

All evidence to the contrary, being President of the United States is not something that anyone who can bag groceries could pull off.

Maybe some people would be happy with a President who was only worth the minimum wage, but personally I don’t want fries with my executive orders.

What’s the point…

…of this KNTV slideshow showing how badly many female stars have aged?

I wish her the best of luck, but still…

I’m not sure what point the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel was trying to make in their story: Books and a baby.

This human-interest feature followed one young woman as she graduated from a notorious inner city school and tried to suceed at the University of Wisconsin, viagra purchase Madison with her newborn daughter in tow.

At the risk of sounding cruel, viagra canada the only thing the story showed me was that even a young lady who graduated second in her class wasn’t smart enough to avoid becoming another unwed, teenage mother in Milwaukee.
